About IFUJI
Japanese gardens throughout the four seasons
Our restaurant is nestled within a quiet corner of Maruyama Park in Gion, Kyoto—a designated National Place of Scenic Beauty renowned for its shifting seasonal splendor.
Our traditional stroll-style garden (kaiyu-shiki), originally built in 1886, captivates guests throughout the year: from weeping cherry blossoms in spring and irises or wisteria in summer, to vibrant autumn foliage and serene snowscapes in winter. The elegant stone-paved path winding through this natural beauty captures the quintessential atmosphere of Kyoto that visitors dream of.
We invite you to relax and enjoy a moment of peace in this nostalgic, welcoming space. Gather around our specialty, the Omi Beef Shabu-shabu "Shidare Nabe," and let the conversation bloom. We also offer a wide range of seasonal delights, such as Pike Conger (Hamo) Shabu-shabu in summer and Blowfish (Fugu) Hot Pot in winter, along with banquet plans featuring all-you-can-drink options.
Our Commitment to Quality and Safety
We prioritize food safety and peace of mind above all else. We are uncompromising in our selection of ingredients, placing a strong emphasis on local sourcing to bring out the true depth of flavor in every dish.
By using seasonal agricultural products grown right here in Kyoto whenever possible, we honor the ingredients' natural state. We prepare our dishes without altering their authentic taste, color, or form, creating refined masterpieces that respect nature's design. We invite you to savor these exquisite creations with all five senses.
